SOUTH WILTS PLAN NEW BEMERTON CLUBHOUSE PROJECT

The South Wilts Sports & Social Club has applied to Salisbury District Council for planning consent to build a new clubhouse and pavilion at the Lower Bemerton ground.  Plans are to demolish the existing clubhouse and construct five residential dwellings on the site, creating a new access driveway and associated car parking. The new replacement clubhouse will be constructed adjacent to the all-weather pitch alongside Wilton Road, with the project including a new scoreboard, protective fencing and car parking.  The SWSSC is anxious to attract as much support as possible to the project from Premier League cricketers/officials/supporters, who are invited to make written representations to Salisbury City Council by clicking on to the following website link: http://www.salisbury.gov.uk/planning/development-control/planning-applications/2008/2089/application-details.htm. The public consultation period ends on 29 January 2009.
