TICHBORNE PARK AND FAIR OAK LIFT WINCHESTER & DISTRICT KO TROPHIES

Tichborne Park regained the Winchester & District CA Tichborne Trophy when they beat Sparsholt by 36 runs in a batsman-dominated final at the Royal Green Jackets Ground.
The flying start Martin Cheyney (65) and Mickey Butler (32) produced enabled Tichborne to post 168-6 (Tom Allam 31).
Sparsholt gave chase with an impressive 116-run opening partnership involving Tim Vokes (69) and Dan Payne (38), but fell short in the gathering gloom, closing at a gallant 132-3.
Fair Oak thrashed Easton & Martyr Worthy by ten wickets to win the Igglesden Trophy - their first silverware triumph - and took less than nine overs doing it !  Andy Mash (3-13) and pacey Joe Lovett (2-10) reduced Easton to 12-5, but Sam Dickety (47 not out) helped them reach 106.  Australian Chad Penfold conceded 13 wides in his opening over to give Oaks a flying start.  Then Grieg Stewart, who smashed 54 off 27 balls, and Stuart Martin (37) let fly and Fair Oak were home in no time.
