HOOK & NEWNHAM BASICS STARLET JOINS CARDIFF

Jordan Hobday, a significant driving force in Hook & Newnham Basics' Southern Electric t20 Cup challenge this season, is set to spend with winter Down Under playing for Cardiff Boolaroo in the Northern New South Wales Grade competition. The 20-year old all-rounder, who made 496 runs and took 32 wickets for Hook this summer, flies to Sydney on Wednesday to spend the next seven months in Australia. Hobday is a nominee for the Premier League's prestigious Young Cricketer award, the winner of which will be announced at the League's presentation dinner on 22 October 2010.
