RUSSELL TAKES WICKET IN SECOND OVER AGAINST PAKISTAN

Ventnor-raised pace bowler Chris Russell dismissed Pakistan Test opener Yasir Hameed with the second ball of his second over at the start of the tourists' rain-dogged and subsequently abandoned two-day friendly at New Road. He had Hameed caught by Viikram Solanki for 27. Pakistan closed at 112-2, with Mohammad Yousuf 40 not out.  Russell, who lives in the same Wroxall village as Danny Briggs and Ian Hilsum on the Isle of Wight, now plays for Wolverhampton, having played junior age cricket for the Isle of Wight.
