EASTON & MARTYR WORTHY PROJECT COMING ALONG ... DESPITE THE WEATHER !

This coming season will afford all visitors to Easton and Martyr Worthy a new perspective on the cricket, quite literally. The Cockets Mead ground has always been a wonderful setting for cricket and now the club is finally able to provide comparable facilities with their new purpose built pavilion. In conjunction with the local community, they waved a timely goodbye to the old pavilion and village hall last September, and over the winter watched a bright and contemporary future develop in its’ place. Despite the best efforts of the weather to hamper progress, the builders have exhibited the never-say-die attitude that Easton teams have displayed out in the middle over the years, and are up with the run rate to finish in time for the start of the season. The pavilion is now the other end of the building with a magnificent elevated terrace in front to allow an unrivalled view of play. An alternative interpretation is we now have a tempting new target on the mid on boundary. That is not an invitation! Keep up to date with progress on the new facility through http://www.emwcc.co.uk/page.php?pagename=Facilities.
