Cape Town visit beckons for Bournemouth |

IT'S CAPE TOWN FOR BOURNEMOUTH - AT THE DOUBLE !
Cape Town, South Africa's Mother City, is bracing itself to receive two Bournemouth cricket tour parties at once ! The Chapel Gate club is sending Under-17 and Under-25 sides to the Cape for a series of matches against local club sides. The 15-strong Under-17 squad, which flies out on Wednesday evening, is primarily the side that finished third in the ECB Under-15 Club Championships two years ago. They play matches against Bridge House School, Franschhoek (Friday), Western Province CC (Sunday), Bergvleit High School (day/night)(Tuesday), Groot Drakenstein (Saturday), Pinelands High School (Sunday) and Langa (Tuesday). David Ridley's Under-25 squad, captained by Dorset opener Nick Park, leaves for Cape Town 24 hours later (Thursday evening) and will hit the ground running, with fixtures against Brackenfell (Sunday), a Township Under-23 XI in Khayelitsha (Monday) and Groot Drakenstein (Tuesday) in successive days. The tour continues with games against Belville (Thursday), a Twenty20 with Cape Town CC (Friday) and a day/night match at Rygersdale (Tuesday). Details of all the matches will appear on this website. Hampshire have an Under-16 Development side also playing in Cape Town next week.
