SOUTHERN ELECTRIC TWENTY20 CUP - FIRST ROUND DRAW ANNOUNCED

Newly promoted Calmore Sports will host ECB Cockspur Cup winners Bournemouth in the first round of next season's Southern Electric Twenty20 Cup at Loperwood Park.  Calmore finished runners-up in Hampshire League County Division 1 this summer and have been promoted into SPL3 in 2010.

Electric Cup holders Lymington, meanwhile, get home advantage against 2009 semi-finalists Andover, while beaten finalists Ventnor entertain Sarisbury Athletic - a repeat of this season's opener - at Steephill.

Premier League champions Havant face a short trip to Hambledon, with St Cross Symondians taking on Alton in the only all-Premier Division 1 clash at the Royal Green Jackets Ground.  Arguably the tie of the round is the Hook & Newnham Basics-Hartley Wintney derby.

The first round ties to be played on either May 30 or June 13 (actual dates to be advised) are: Bashley (Rydal) v Old Tauntonians & Romsey, Burridge v Fair Oak, Calmore Sports v Bournemouth, Hambledon v Havant, Hook & Newnham Basics v Hartley Wintney, Hursley Park v New Milton, Lymington v Andover, Portsmouth & Southsea v Fareham & Crofton, Rowledge v Liphook & Ripsley, South Wilts v Easton & Martyr Worthy, Sparsholt v Paultons, St Cross Symondians v Alton, Tichborne Park v Trojans, Totton & Eling v Gosport Borough, United Services v Portsmouth, Ventnor v Sarisbury Athletic.

The final will be played under the Hampshire Rose Bowl floodlights in mid-August, with the winners qualifying for the 2010 ECB Cockspur Twenty20 Cup.
