PREMIER LEAGUE ELECTS NEW CHAIRMAN The ECB Southern Electric Premier League has elected a new Chairman, with 2009 vice-chairman Paul Thompson succeeding Paddy Heffernan, who has stepped down after a four-year stint at the helm. He has been elected a Vice President. Paul Thompson played cricket for South Hants Touring Club and later to become Portsmouth CC and held management positions with both. During this time he was treasurer of the old Southern League for several seasons. He became the Premier League’s vice-chairman last season. Steve Vear (Secretary) and Adrian Poole (Treasurer) continue in their posts, with Mike Rose as Results Secretary. Ventnor chairman John Hilsum joins the Management Committee, which also includes South Wilts' all-rounder Rob Wade.
