FOUR HAMPSHIRE ACADEMY PLAYERS PICKED FOR ENGLAND UNDER-19S

Four Hampshire Academy cricketers - Hamza Riazuddin, Danny Briggs, James Vince and Chris Wood - have been selected to play for England in the forthcoming Friends Provident Under-19 "Test" Matches against Bangladesh at Scarborough and Derby.

All rounder Riazuddin will captain the England side, with Ventnor-raised Briggs the specialist left-arm spinner in the squad. Vince made a successful County Championship debut against Lancashire last week, while left-arm seam all-rounder Chris Wood toured South African with the Under-19s last winter.

All four players will miss the next few Academy matches in the Southern Electric Premier League.
