 Youth Accreditation Criteria

 

 

 

GOLD

 SILVER

  BRONZE

QUALIFIED

COACHES

All coaches must be active and in possession of a valid ECB CRB certificate

There must be at least 5 qualified coaches at the club, of which at least

two must be ECB level 1 / UKCC 2 or overseas  equivalent

There must be at least 3 qualified coaches at the club, of which at least one must be ECB

level 2/ UKCC 2 or overseas  equivalent

There must be at least 2 qualified coaches at the club, who is at least ECB Level 1/UKCC2 or overseas equivalent

GAMES PLAYED PER AGE GROUP

NB A match which starts but is abandoned counts as a game played

Colts sections must provide regular coaching and matches for players in all three age groups, U11, U13 and U15

In all of these groups there must be a minimum of 8 games played 

Colts sections must provide regular coaching and matches for players in at least two of the age groups U11, U13 and U15    

In each of these two groups there must be a minimum of 8 games played

Colts sections must provide regular coaching and matches for players in at least two of the age groups U11, U13 and U15

In these groups there must be a minimum of 6 games played

CLUB-SCHOOL LINKS*

*Formal Club-School link in place - steps 8.1 & 8.2 are mandatory,  8.3, 8.4 & 8.5 are recommended

CLUBMARK

Clubs playing in Premier Division 1 shall have obtained ClubMark

 

Clubs playing in Premier Division 2 shall have obtained ClubMark

Clubs playing in Premier Division 3 shall have obtained ClubMark

 

 

CLARIFICATION & SUPPLEMENTARY NOTES

1.   Matches played at U9 age group should be recorded and may be taken into consideration by the assessors at

      the end of the season

2.   All coaches must be active and in possession of a valid ECB CRB certificate

3.   It is compulsory for all clubs to fully adhere to the ECB fast bowling directives and regulations on fielding

      distances.

4.   It is compulsory for all clubs to fully adhere to the ECB (as amended by the HCB) helmets guidance.

5.   The status of qualified coaches will be extracted from the central HCB database at the end of the season.  Any

      updates shall

      be sent direct to the HCB Administrator, Colin Savage, please.

6.       Games played may be local league fixtures, local and county cups, or properly organised friendly matches

against other clubs, with  scoreheets to support, which can be called for at the end of the seas.  Clubs will be issued with a summary form  

      to complete and return on or before the 31 August.

7.   A match which starts but is abandoned counts as a gamed played.

8.* The definition of a Club-School link is as follows:

      8.1  Written contact has been made with a named person at one or more named school.

      8.2  Posters have been placed around the school providing information to interested pupils of  

             the junior activities of the club, including the club contact name and telephone number.

      8.3  A presentation is made by the Club at a school assembly, at least once a year.

      8.4  Regular coaching sessions are provided by the Club on School or Club premises.

      8.5  Club and School facilities are mutually shared.

 

The Table above outlines the current minimum requirements.  The Management Committee of the SPCL delegates the monitoring of these standards to the Hampshire Cricket Development Manager.  The Committee wishes to wholeheartedly endorse the goals and work of the CDM and urges all clubs to take advantage of his advice and counsel so that youth development in their geographic area is maximised and harmonised with that undertaken by schools, district associations and other bodies.
